Ettore Sottsass
Ettore Sottsass was an Italian architect, multi-talented designer and photographer. His designs convey a sense of inventiveness, creativity and joie de vivre. He worked as a Design Consultant for Olivetti and was awarded the ‘Compasso d’Oro’ three times. He rose to fame in the 1980s, becoming an international point of reference and creative inspiration for all the contemporary avant-gardes.
His artistic quest led him to experiment with Rationalism, the ‘Arte Concreta’ Movement, Spatialism and Pop culture.
His innovative and boundless creative approach is clearly evident in furniture projects and makes Sottsass stand out as a key figure in the realm of international contemporary design.
