Willy Rizzo
Willy Rizzo was an Italian-French photographer and designer. He started off working as a photographer in Paris around the 1940s. A prolific portrait, fashion and documentary photographer, his work was exhibited both nationally and internationally. In 1968, he worked as designer following personal issues, because, as he later stated, Scandinavian furniture was neither comfortable nor exclusive enough. In 1970, he opened his first stores. The work of Rizzo is characterised by a strong imagination and creativity, as well as a modern taste. Nowadays, one of his tables is on display at the MoMA in New York.
