Ico Parisi
Domenico Parisi, nicknamed Ico, was an Italian architect and designer of the 20th-Century.
Through his projects, Parisi managed to express his willingness to experiment in the fields of architecture, art and design. He was greatly influenced by the encounters with Munari, Fontana and Melotti. Besides his architectural projects, Parisi focused on interior design by creating furnishings and accessories.
Parisi shared together with the sculptor Somaini, a vision that art and architecture played a key role in the enhancement of individual awareness and the development of society. Together, they worked on the ‘Contenitori Umani’, metal squared elements, filled with moulded expanded polyester.
